A script for upcoming movie Pirates of the Caribbean 4 was found abandoned in a British cafe, according to reports.
The 194-page screenplay for the fourth installment in the Johnny Depp-starring franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, was found in a greasy spoon in London, reports The Sun. Movie bosses are believed to have popped in to the cafe for a fry-up, but left without the document.
A good Samaritan, who also happened to be a huge fan of the flicks, handed the script over to the tabloid, who in turn passed it on to Walt Disney Pictures.
The fan said: “I’m a big fan of the films, but I managed to resist the urge to have a read. I want to enjoy the movie when it comes out.”
Meanwhile, plot details from the fourth film have also been released.
Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) will run into a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), who turns out to be the daughter of feared pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane).
She forces Sparrow onto her father’s ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, and to help her find the fountain of eternal youth.
The details were revealed as the film went into production in Hawaii this week.
The movie hits theatres in 3-D on May 20, 2011
